I can't even begin to imagine what you are going through.

A child being in the NICU on the other hand, unfortunately, is something I am familiar with. Stay strong, Paige. Ask for help when it is needed. I know you don't know me, but my son spent 10 months in the NICU. Granted he wasn't a preemie like your little Lucy is, but he was very sick. Please feel free to contact me or to read my blog about surviving an extended hospital stay. It is still in the works, but I'm adding to it as I think of things.

Prayers have gone up.

God Bless,
Jill F.Jill Angelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14903050907067319941noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7664710908586761129.post-77678109785342182332011-01-26T07:31:15.539-08:002011-01-26T07:31:15.539-08:00When I read this story it takes me to when Brody w...When I read this story it takes me to when Brody was in the hospital. When I saw him so sick and not able to touch him and kiss him I would think of a book I would read the girls called the Kissing Hand. It's about a Raccoon That doesn't want to go to school--he wants to stay home with his mother. She tells him a secret that will make school seem as cozy as home. She takes her son's hand, spreads his tiny fingers into a fan and kisses his palm--smack dab in the middle: "He felt his mother's kiss rush from his hand, up his arm, and into his heart." Whenever he feels lonely at school, all he has to do is press his hand to his cheek to feel the warmth of his mother's kiss. He gives his mom a Kissing Hand, too, to comfort her when he is away.
Lucy has so much love around her and with your Mothers wings wrapped tight around her she will be strong and fight all the way. We love and miss you. Now let me dry my eyes and tell you what an inspiration you are as well as a talented writer. I was so sorry to hear about your Mom. I know how close you two were. I hope it is a comfort to know you have many great memories to share. I have remembered all of you in my prayers and will continue to do so. It's amazing what life sometimes throws at us but still we get up to face another day and sometimes its learning to live each hour. I'm glad you've all been blessed by such a beautiful and strong baby girl. May she continue to grow and you'll all be together in no time. Remember we all love and miss you at work and let us know if there is anything we can do for you or the family.
Love Your Friend,

Lynda KAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14903190605194064148noreply@blogger.com
